the stepmother was so moved and felt guilty that she treated Xu Zikuang and his wife as if they were their own.

many years later, all three sons were admitted to Jinshi and married beautiful wives.

the family lives happily in a harmonious atmosphere.

Xunzi said: "those who are good will be rewarded by heaven for good; those who are evil will be rewarded with evil."

in this life, loyalty and treachery will be distinguished, and evil and good will be judged.
